What is a Cheers to Art painting session like?
We offer "art as entertainment," in a relaxed, stress-free group setting. We like to say "it's not a class, it's a Party!" Absolutely NO experience is necessary to have a great time. Our instructor will guide our guests through the night's featured painting with simple, step-by-step instructions. So whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes. Our sessions are frequently sold out, and we do our best to assign seats based on reservations. We request that you make a reservation in advance. Just click on our Calendar and choose the session and location you'd like to attend.
What is the cost of a normal Cheers to Art session?
A Cheers To Art painting session is $35.
What is included in the price?
We provide everything you'll need - 16" x 20" canvas, paint, brushes, apron, easels and step-by-step instruction.
What is your cancellation policy?
The below cancellation rules apply to all reservations - public, private and fundraising sessions. All cancellations must be made by emailing
  • To receive a full refund, you must notify us of your cancellation through email at least one week prior to your scheduled session.
  • If we receive your cancellation less than a week before, you will receive a studio credit with an expiration date of 6 months after your scheduled session.
  • If we receive your cancellation 4 hours or less before your session start time, no refund or credit will be issued. No refund/credit will be issued for "no call/no shows."
Cheers to Art reserves the right to cancel a painting session at any time due to low attendance, sickness, etc. If we decide to cancel, we will notify our guests via the email address you provided at time of your reservation. You will be offered either a studio credit or refund.

Bad Weather: In the case of inclement weather, we may be forced to cancel a session. If we decide to cancel a session due to a weather storm emergency, all registered guests will be notified as quickly as possible via the email address you provided at time of your reservation. We will also post a notice on our Facebook page. Everyone registered will receive a studio credit. If you are registered for a session and it is your choice not to attend due to weather, our cancellation policy above applies.
What time do I need to arrive for a session?
We request that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your session. This allows you time to sign in, grab a beverage, smock-up and prepare to have fun! Sessions run between 1.5 to 2 hours. We know life happens, but in consideration of the other painters and staff, if you arrive 15 or more minutes late you may be asked to reschedule for another session. It's simply too difficult to catch people up after the sessions begin and it's not fair to the rest of the guests.
Do you have a bar?
Yes. We offer a nice selection of beer and wine for purchase. You must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages in the State of Ohio, and we will check I.D's.
Can I b.y.o.b.?
No - B.Y.O.B. is ILLEGAL in the State of Ohio, and although some states and other studios may allow it, under Ohio State Law (Ohio Rev. Code 4301.62) it is a violation of Ohio's "open container" laws and those participating are subject to arrest. So, with that said, we are protecting you, our loyal customers.
Do I have to paint the featured painting of the night?
Although we encourage it, our guests are welcome to paint whatever they want during any of our sessions. Most people sign up to paint the instructed painting, so if you are painting on your own, please be courteous to those around you as well as the instructor.
What do I wear?
Acrylic paints are NOT clothes friendly, so please dress appropriately. We provide aprons, and our paints are non-toxic, but we cannot be responsible for any articles ruined by paint, including clothes, hand bags, etc.
Can I bring my child to an evening session?
Our evening sessions are for ages 12 years of age and up, however they must attend with a paid adult who is also registered and is painting. NO EXCEPTIONS.
How old should a child be to attend a Kids & Canvas® session?
That certainly depends on the child and the maturity level. We've had children as young as four paint with us, but parents must accompany the child at all times during our Kids & Canvas® sessions.
